So Cal nursing programs

Hello,
Anyone know of any southern california (san diego-OC) nursing programs that will let me retake pre req courses to up GPA? I have some science courses that I took years ago and did poorly in. I would like to take them over again to help up my GPA.
Thanks!

I *think* that if the classes are over 5-7 years.. that you need to retake them anyways.. (or at least A&P) Give the nursing programs a call and talk to the nursing staff. Good luck!

Thanks! Yes I figured I would need to re-take them anyways, but I just had a meeting with a school and the counselor said that they calculate over all GPA-even the classes from way back when. Basically she said I would have to take the classes ten times over with A's to bring up the overall GPA. Do all schools require that?

I don't know about GPA but at Saddleback community college you can re-take your science classes to up your total points. The way this school works is there are a total of 18 or 19 points and 75% of the students are accepted based on the amount of points they have while 25% of students are accepted based on a random drawing. You get 5 points for each A in anatomy, physiology and microbiology, which is a total of 15. B's get 3 points and C's get 1 point. Then you get a point for taking your classes at saddleback, and finally points based on your GPA from your last 12 units you completed. I had 2 C's and a B and re-took both C's and got A's and am now in the program.

Good luck!
