Hello, allnurses.com!!!!

I just wanted to post a thread to express my joy on starting nursing school this August at Charity School of Nursing in the great Big Easy--New Orleans! :hatparty:

My dream for many years was to gain experience and training at Charity Hospital, but we all know that Katrina washed away many great memories in this city--including this well-known hospital. But everything has its purpose, and it's working well for me so far. I have no doubts at all that the following two years will be challenging and exhausting, but those two adjectives and any other negativity won't bring me down or make me change my mind. I'm more than sure that nursing is for me, and I am greatly anticipating to receive my pin and license after graduation. I'm so happy to have been told about this website, and I'm looking forward to much encouragement, advice, and comic relief from all of you.

Congrats to all new nursing students and, of course, NEW NURSES!!!

What a great attitude!! Thank you for coming on here sharing that with us! You will need that attitude by about the second semester from what I hear!!! But, for now, I am also very excited and impatiently
waiting to start school. August 20th can't get here soon enough!!
