Okay, so i start my first semester of nursing school on august 27th. my orientation is on the 26th and as the time comes closer, i seem to be getting more and more nervous/anxious... It was just last month that I was saying "I am so excited and can't wait to start school!" Now, I'm getting extremely nervous! When you you start school and how are you feeling about it???? Any thoughts? Good luck to you all...

I know how you are feeling. I have been waiting all summer for school to start. We started this past Monday, (18th), and I am taking A&P I and NUR 110. I am so overwhelmed by the amount of work these classes require. I am learning early about time management. I started reading ahead last week just to get a "idea" of what we would be talking about this week. It's going to be hard, I am scared everyday about "failing", but that gives me more drive to work harder and do better than my best to not fail. We can do this......we just have to find our "niche" for relating it into our lives. Good luck to you!!!

We'll all do fine if we stay positive. Most of us have completed our prerequs...I think if you can make it through those with a good grade...then you should feel pretty confident that the next two years are doable. I think for me, I just try to remember what others have told me...make sure you listen very closely to what the instructors say...most tests are made up of the stuff they throw at you out of the blue. Be sure you ask questions if you're not understanding...no matter how stupid they sound...it's your education and your grade on the line here. I don't know if I'm more nervious or excited, but either way...in two years I'll be done!!!! congrats to us...we're IN

Yes, that is how I was...I felt good and then the closer it got, the more nervous I got!!

I actually feel that way this semester as well...very nervous! But I know once I start, I'll get through! It's so fast paced you don't have time to be nervous when your actually in there! I just need to remember that sometimes!
