One book (James, Ashwill, Droske) says that brachioradialis reflex response is "pronation and flexion of the elbow"
The other book (Jarvis) says brachioradialis reflex response is "supination and flexion of the forearm"
The brachiradialis muscle acts to flex the forarm at the elbow...but it does do both, both pronation and supination...it all depends on the position of the forarm. When it is pronated, the bracioradialis is more active during elbow flexion since the bic. brachii is in a mechanical disadvantage...When I looked at my Gray's book.....it wasn't too helpful! This could be a tricky one....it does both yet stronger with pronation. Hope this helps
