Please help an aspiring nursing student...

I am taking A&P 1 (first preq.) and I plan to apply to an Accelerated BSN program, Fall 2009. I am doing well in A&P 1, I have a B average, I work full-time and part-time jobs. However, it's so much information and I vaguely rememeber the information from last month exam.
For example, if my Professor passed me an exam from last month, without a review I would probably get 50% of questions correct. As a former SES teacher, I know tons of test taking strategies, that helped me to get me through many exams.
I am just concern, that I am doing a data dump and I am not learning this information. I spoke to one lazy classmate that I shouldn't take advice from but, she had a point. A 13 weeks summer course in A&P 1, moves fast and A&P 1 is just a overview and that I should not expect to understand everything in detail.

I know exactly how you feel, especially in Anatomy. I did well, but I felt that if I was given any previous test, I would probably fail.

I'm hoping that I learned enough so that I could review quickly and it will come back to me. Sometimes I go to some of the online sites and quiz myself, and I usually do a little better than I think I will.

I don't know the answer, but I think yours is a very common concern!

I'm a third semester nursing student. As I went through med-surg I was constantly pulling the A&P book out to re-review systems. You'll be surprised though how much of it stays with you. And once you start to apply it in clinical situations it seems to make more sense than just "the book learning"! Good luck!
