Hello....
Anyone else that is starting in the fall that will be attending a summer enrichment program? (or anyone that has attended one of these!)
I was currently "invited" not required as soom students are to attend this. Now when it was explained to me on the interview...this was for the "really needs help" type students as they need to know time management, study skills etc...
However talking to my DH I'm thinking maybe I should go...it's for about 4 days and the first day is an overview of the program , helpful hints, math review, clinical preperation, and a student nurse study group will speak. The next day is medical terminology (oh I need that!) and then time management (there I think I don't need that) The next day is class note taking, generational differences, reading skills and study skills (really don't think I need any of these but maybe I'm kidding myself! :P and the last day is test taking skills , student nurse panel, closing cermony and prizes.
I was thinking I would probably benefit from the 1st two days..but not so sure about the rest...then again I could be kidding myself. I went back to CC to do my prereqs while holding down a full time job/raising child...so I think I got the time management part down

But maybe it's all beneficial and I need to just get over myself

See I'm thinking that it will mostly be the fresh out of high school kids that really do need this...but I'm really starting to think I'm kidding myself! Also this is seperate from the orientation...that's the following week and manadatory of course.
Thoughts?
TIA
Michele
