Question Nursing tattoos?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for nursing tattoos and I am having difficulty finding very many - wondered if anyone knows of any good sites that have examples of nursing/medical tattoos - this is sort of a present to myself for the end of 2nd year

any picture at all would make as a tatoo. I have a friend that does them free hand all you need do is show him a picture of what you want and he will make a tracing and put it on you. you could have a needle/stethascope with nurse hat. or a cadusa. jsut find a picture that you think repressents nursing most for you. because your the one that is going to have it the rest of your life. oh yes !! and remember to put it somewhere out of site. like high on the shoulder or high on your arm. Alot of places frown on openly shown tatooes. good luck on graduation also

I've seen a lot of science related tattoos in the "geek" section in the user galleries at bmezine.com.

Re: Nursing tattoos?

I am getting one the day I graduate. I already drew a rough draft but I am not the best artist.

It will go on my ankle. It is a pair of hands that are holding a heart. Inside the heart are my children's initials. On top of the heart is a nursing cap.

I can't wait

I'm also getting a nursing tattoo.....a 1940's style pinup nurse.....to celebrate my graduation in May. I have been looking around for awhile, but so far have just seen elements from a few different tattoos that I want in mine, I am just going to bring all the pictures I have and have the artist draw me an original one.

Remember that patients may forever remember what they saw on their nurses rather than what their faces looked like! I remember being in the OR as a patient and the anesthesiologist had this COOL rainforest headcover, or on another occasion another wore this COOL golden motorcycle chain bracelet, but I never really saw his face because he kind of sat behind my head...we talked about motorcycles, traveling and all kind of other stuff all through my varicose vein surgery ( Ick, I was semi awake for that one LOL) Hey as long as tatoos and jewelry are in good taste, why not ?????

Re: Nursing tattoos?

My suggestion is what has already been said - google images, etc. I plan on getting a nurse cap with a red cross inside it.

Good luck & congratulations!
