Yup. It seems only people in this area know what that means. I'm in PA and from Philly.

LOL that meaning is common to most people. I used to live in MD and we use to say that when we were talking about Ocean City which is on the Eastern Shore. Now I'm in NC and people say that for Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, etc.

Re: Nursing Students' Summer Plans

Well...since this is my last semester... :hatparty:

- last day of classes 6-16
- graduation luncheon - end of July
- graduation - 7-26

(back surgery on 7/5/07) Yep, I have to get a laminectomy. This will be my second back surgery in 11 years.

While recooping from surgery I will be studying for the NCLEX and plan to take it in August!

Then come September 10th I am due to start my new job at a Level 3 NICU!

I plan on spending lots of time with my son and husband!

Re: Nursing Students' Summer Plans

I applied for the summer externship program at a credited hospital in my area and just had interview last week. I won't know anything until end of next week. I really need this job. It would be a perfect summer if I just have this job, I don't know what else I'll be doing if I don't have this job. I was thinking of taking psych class over the summer since I have psych and peds next semester in RN program and I have heard it's really hard. OH gosh.....I am dying to know whether I got the job or not.
