Talking Nursing interventions (TACTIS, drugs)

Hey guys,

New poster but old lurker and I gave in and finally registered because I have no clue what the prof is asking:

Our professor told us to do flashcards that states:

T - theraupeutic effect
A - action of drug
C - contraindications
T - toxic/side effects
I - interventions (nursing)
S - safe dose

the only thing that i'm confused about is what does interventions for nursing mean?

for ex. digoxin and furosemide what would be the nursing interventions ?

thanks

Alpha,
Nursing interventions are the things you need to do or be aware of with those drugs..ie digoxin- check apical pulse before administering, lasix- monitor I&O, monitor potassium level. Hope this helps!
