Nursing Diagnosis Handbook by Ackley/Ladwig question

The 7th edition has 1152 pages while the 8th edition has 960 pages.

1152 - 960 = 192 pages difference!

What are the differences/changes?

I have used the 7th edition for assignments via the library. I'm interested in buying the 8th edition.

Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure. I think I have the 8th edition. Is it possible that the print or layout is different? That seems like quite a change.

Re: Nursing Diagnosis Handbook by Ackley/Ladwig question

Depending on the years printed it is possible that the NANDA nursing diagnosis changed and therefore they changed the information in the book to reflect that.

I have the NANDA book that came out most recently and I bought it because that lists the actual approved NANDA list and what NANDA says they are to be used for. I use that as my primary reference and then my other book as secondary since it was the newest one available yet still had old diagnosis or missing some.

So my thought would be that they made changes according to NANDA.
