Assistance - nurse tech interview

I've got an interview next week for a tech position and am just wondering what to expect. This is a career change for me and I've plenty of experience interviewing but any time you break into a new field, things change a little. I'd like to know what others have encountered. What types of questions were you asked? Any testing done to see what you knew, etc? Any info is helpful.
Thanks.

Re: nurse tech interview

When I interviewed in the past they asked me about why I choose nursing and where I see myself in nursing in the long run. I also remember some general questions about how I generally handle things and what my best and worst qualities are. During the interview at the hospital that I currently work at, HR interviewed me and in the process informed me of all the benefits they can offer post graduation and then they escorted me up to be interviewed by the nurse manager. I loved this because I didn't get lost in the hospital like I did at a different facility and I got on a first name basis with the nursing recruiter. My nurse manager then just asked me more general questions like what shift I would like, my overall goals, and just about myself. She also gave me a tour of the department and introduced me to my coworkers. She usually does a peer interview as well but none of the nurse techs were available at the time.

Good luck!!
