Question NET Prep

Hi everyone! I tried searching for a thread as I figured there probably had been one, but I didn't have any luck so here goes... I have a few questions about the NET (Nurse Entrance Test). Have you taken it? Did you study for it? Is there a study guide you'd recommend? Thanks so much - I really appreciate it! Have a great day!

Re: NET Prep

I didn't study for it, but i wished I had when i started taking it. The only thing you need to study for is the math part, unless you are really good at math. Just go over fractions and percentages, that is what really threw me. I passed it, it really wasn't very hard, but defnitely polish up on math. The rest of it is reading comprehension, reading an article and then answering questions about it.
good luck! I'm sure you'll do fine.

Re: NET Prep

I bought the study guide and passed, however, a classmate told me that everyone she knew failed it doing the book review. She suggested her classmates to go to the online NET review or go the school's library resources for hand-out's.

Most people struggle w/ the English part as it is testing your scientific aptitude. Refresh your middle school math - it's quite easy. There a few beginner algebra equations.

Good luck!

Re: NET Prep

Hi TX from another Texan!!

Here is the best site I found for the NET test. It is so much better than wasting $30.00 on the book from ERI World.

I didn't know about this site before I took my test, and I passed in the 92 percentile, but I know I would have done so much better if I had looked at it. The practice tests are just like the NET was. Good luck~

Thanks SO much for the link - that's exactly what I was looking for and looks super helpful. And haha that's the study book I was considering - there was a brochure about the NET in the nursing office advertising it but I thought $30 was a little much for what it was and then it's for like three tests which seemed a little odd. Thanks again!

Re: NET Prep

You are quite welcome. I was really disappointed in the book, and once I took the test, I knew that I would try to find other help to tell people about. I learned about the website from somebody else on here, and I have just passed it along. Good luck with it.
