Hi,

I have been out of school for 5 years because I was having such a hard time getting into overcrowded nursing schools in California. The desire to be a nurse has just gotten stronger so I need some helpful advice on how to get back into it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking at schools in Florida and want to know if I am going to have to retake to prerequisites to apply because it has been so long? And if there are schools that dont have long wait lists. Please help! Thanks!

I'm not sure about Florida, but in Georgia, you have to take both A&P's within 5 years. Also, at my school, Georgia State, you have to have taken abnormal psych within 5 years. I'm not sure, but I'd guess that the A&P's would probably have to be taken within 5 years in Florida too. Go to the website of the school you want to go to and check it out! Good luck!

By what I have been checking out pretty much all schools require the biology and chem courses to be within 5 yrs. The others it just depends on the schools involved.
