I am trying to find out if Syncope is an official diagnosis or not. Would any of you happen to know if it is?

I moved your post to General Nursing Student Discussion, since this is where the best discussion of nursing diagnosis often takes place. Although syncope would yield several good nursing diagnoses, it's not one in itself.

Syncope would place the pt at risk for several things, including ineffective airway clearance and aspiration.

If this is something that your patient has, you can use any of the symptoms of syncope that your patient might have to help determine his/her nursing diagnosis.
