Hello....anybody out there starting Mt. St. Mary's College Acc BSN program in Los Angeles this May? Are you excited? Scared? What are you doing to prepare? Are you getting CPR/ First Aid certified/ all your vaccinations out of the way? I know that I am completely thrilled and nervous! Just thought we could make introductions, give each other some support before we start this very Accelerated journey together over the next year!

Hmmm...maybe there isn't anyone out there about to attend or who has attended Mt. St. Mary's....
I'm just very exicted. I feel like a little kid anticipating the start of the program. I was just hoping to get some feedback---info on what to expect. Will I really be spending my every spare moment with my nose in a book? How accelerated is accelerated...do you feel like you learned the material? Are the clinical instructors/ facilities nice? ...If anyone else feels like school is the only thing on the brain?
I won't bite! I'm usually a very shy person!

Well, only 2 weeks left before school starts. Just barely completed all of the health requirements....still dealing with some financial aid stuff...still waiting to hear back about malpractice insurance...that is taking a looong time. Thought I would have been much better about reviewing A&P (still have 2 weeks to do so!) but boy, life, jobs, all this other prep work just kept me busier than I imagined. I just hope to enjoy these last two weeks of my "normal" life....but I am also excited about school, and continuing the path to becoming a nurse.
I was hoping to get some response on this thread.. oh well...if anyone is out there, you can always PM me instead of posting.

Hey I want to apply to MSMC next year! Where did you take religion and did you have a 3.0 GPA? My GPA kind of sucks but my science and pre-req's are pretty much As. Thanks and good luck!
