this is in the section about coronary artery disease, MI (physical exercise):
In a normal healthy person the minimum threshold for improving cardiopulmonary fitness is 60 percent of the age-predicted maximum HR (which is calculated by subtracting the person's age from 220).
So, for eg. if the person is 55 years of age, then is this correctly calculated:
220 - 55 = 165 (maximum HR)
60% of 165 = 99 (minimum threshold)
The ideal training target HR is 80 percent of maximum HR.
So, for this 55 year old,
would it be 80% of 165 = 132
This is probably very simple,
just wanted to check though.
