Anyone currently or formerly a student? How intense is the accelerated program? I sure would love to get through everything in 1 year. Please help if you can.

Re: Johns Hopkins School of Nursing - Accelerated Program

I know several of the current ABSN students and they definitely don't have the time during summer session to hit these forums What I would recommend is using the search feature in the upper right hand corner to find posts from JHU ABSN alumni and send them a private message. I've done that in the past when I was trying to get feedback for the program and several were very helpful.

Also, check out the JHU School of Nursing website where they host online chats, or definitely email the admissions officers who are very friendly and willing to share plenty of information.

I started out in the accelerated program and then switched to traditional. Feel free to ask any questions.

Why did you switch? And can this easily be done? I am applying to the accelerated, but would like to consider traditional as well...I just dont know if the course load for accelerated would be too overwhelming. (But its cheaper!)
