You're not likely to find anything labeled as "nursing interventions". I have a website of consumer information where you might find some of what you are looking for. Consumer information can translate into nursing interventions:
Also, there is a website called Aaron's Tracheostomy Page (http://www.tracheostomy.com/) that has a lot of self-help on it for parents of children with trachs on ventilators. This site was set up by Aaron's mother to help other mothers and nurses who needed information about trach care. There should be information there about handling bronchospasm since this does happen with trached patients.
Also, check out the links on this page http://www.icufaqs.org/. I would look at- Blind suctioning for beginners - suctioning will sometimes set off a spell of bronchospasm
- Intubations
- Vents and ABGs
I also have these links, but I don't know if they will be helpful for you:
- http://enw.org/Can'tBreathe.htm (Part 1)
- http://enw.org/Can'tBreatheII.htm (Part 2) - "I Can't Breathe!" 38 Respiratory Problems in the ER. The links are for Part 1 and Part 2 of this very educational article. Scenarios with focus on the problem solving of respiratory problems. Each case will tell you what is going on, what needs to be done for the patient immediately and why. (Emergency nursing)
