I was hoping that someone could give me some help in how to search for international health practices so that I can pick a topic for a paper. I have tried Alternative Medicine, Interantional health practices ans traditions in Yahoo, but I am not getting the type of information that I want. Iam looking for practices like chinese foot binding, or postpartum roasting in indonesia. Any ideas for how I should search for these topics would be great, or if you know some topics/practices that would be awesome.

I'd try searching for information, or links to information, on sites like the WHO (World Health Organization) and international nursing organizations or associations. From the sound of what you're looking for, perhaps some international human rights organizations or even missionary organizations who are trying to bring civility to unsettled parts of the world might also have information. I think the problem you are going to have is finding people who have observed and written about these practices because the people practicing them have most likely not moved into the computer age. That's got to be charitable or relief organizations. A lot is probably going to hinge on getting the right word(s) to search on the Internet with as well. Is the Peace Corps still in operation?
