Shanika1m1,
Congratulations!! that poem reminded me of the past when I was undergoing training in the military. That poem gave us encouragement to not quit.It was given to us by our commandant. And now I'll be as determined as I can be. I'm taking my NCLEX RN for the third time this september.Sometimes I feel bored of what I am doing (studying) but quitting will never ever get to my mind. Good luck on your career... and please pray for my success. This is such a wonderful site...full of hope.
That was SO inspiring...I'm getting ready to start classes in just over a month or so...and my daughter will be 8 months old when I start...it CAN be done!
Don't quit, I give all you mothers with young babies or children much respect, I am an older student with 3 grown children and believe me I remember how much work a baby is. Take this break and enjoy your baby, go back next year with a fresh head, you'll be nurse before you know you it.
Studying nursing is really hard. I sometimes wonder why I've taken this path. But I can't think of doing anything else. This year I wanted to take a half year off because I was so stressed. Then I thought I would push myself just for another semester because I didn't want to feel I was behind. I don't know whether it was a good decision.
I really believe God has a purpose for everything that is happening to us. Even though you may feel lost or disappointed now, you can use this time to prepare yourself to be a better nurse. There are nurses who started their career in their early 20s and then quit for a different job. You have many years ahead of you.
Good luck!!
