I'm bitter.

I just took at test, and got a 76. That's ONE POINT above passing. That's the worst grade I've ever gotten in nursing. Blah. I'm irritated.

Re: I'm bitter.

It could be worse

I just graduated and one of my classmates missed graduating by TWO points. So thank your lucky stars that it is just one test and not worse!

Re: I'm bitter.

When I started nursing school I came in with a 3.5 GPA. I was used to getting High A's or just barely a high B on all my tests, mind you, thats with a degree in chemistry and one in biology.

Nursing school has turned me into a flat out 3.0 student, and I have learned to just roll with the punches! Do your best, keep your nose to the books and I wish you all the luck! Dont get bummed with just one low grade.

Man I know how you feel--try as I might I cant seem to get the A's I got before nursing school. Sometimes I had to remind myself that the end goal was still in sight and not to get hung up on grades.

Re: I'm bitter.

I am so excited and drained at this point a 76 sounds good. Coming from an over achiever like myself..........well, that sums it up

It stinks and I can't agree with you more. Thank God it's passing-keep your head up

Re: I'm bitter.

I came in to my ADN program with a STRONG 3.8 GPA (after a bachelor's and numerous other credits).

I am holding with a strong 3.0 for my first 2 semesters. I got below passing on one test each my first and second semester. I was just happy to know that when averaged out, I could pretty easily maintain my "B".

It's easier on my sanity that way and I've let go of the notion that I have to be a 4.0 RN graduate. I am happy having a life while I am in school and not making myself, my family, and my friends all nuts along the way!!
