I have great news!

I had made a post about my program director not wanting to find me a hospital on the busline due to me not having a car. So I talked to the director of the school and he had a meeting with her. Well I talked to my program director last week and she is going to find me a hospital on the busline. She said the director had a talk with her and that I must have been very worried to have gone to him. She said this was the first she's every heard of this, about not having a car. I gave her the names of all the hospitals on the busline. I told her busses start running early in the morning. Some run as early as 4:00am in the morning and others around 5:00am. So I'll have to wait until my name comes up for a hospital on the busline.

Re: I have great news!

I remember your post and I felt bad for you. I don't get it when people can't at least try to be accommodating. It would not have killed her to get you in a hospital on a bus route, especially since you did all the legwork and had the list of hospitals and bus schedules! It's not like you were some flake who just said "I can't do it." You had alternatives ready.

I think you did the right thing by pressing the issue. I am glad for you.

I am SO thrilled for you!! You obviously did the right thing and now this person can know that she can't arbitrarily walk around making up rules without consideration for the person involved. That is just terrific!! I bet it's SUCH a relief!!

Now, go kick some nursing school butt and show them they had good cause for doing this for you and future students!! Yippee!!!!!
