Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

I'd recommend Cherokee brand as well. I have yet to find a scrub pant that fits and looks as good as these do. I think it is the boxer style, but I'm not sure. They are the ones with the thick waistband with the little rectangle patch of fabric right in the center of the waistband.

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

I don't think they look great on anyone. I, myself don't have a lot of junk in the ole trunk area so mine always sag in the back. I think they make the inseam super long or something. It's not the best look, but then I look at my classmates and feel better because theirs don't look much better. LOL

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

I wear Walmart pants for work, but they don't fit well. They're way too long on me, so I roll them up at the waist. But I can't go any smaller because I'm one of those really skinny people.

Luckily my scrub pants for clinical are Dickies and they fit PERFECTLY. My school said they should be preshrunk so they won't shrink but I'm paranoid so I will probably wash them on cold and either hang dry or dry on low heat to keep them as perfect as possible.

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

Well, I went out of town today, to a bigger uniform store, and still no luck with a pair that fits very well. I think I'm going to just go w/ the big ones, and if my teacher has a problem w/ them, I'll go get them altered. Hopefully that will be after my loan comes!! The good news about my trip was I found a pair of white New Balance 575 shoes that fit soooo well. I even got an employee discount, so they were only $40 instead of $60!! They are completely white except for a small breast cancer awareness symbol on the top of the tongue. At least I have that taken care of!!

Yep!! I wore those in petite all thru NS. They came to my waist, not under my bust, and the length was perfect!! You can find them online if local stores don't carry them (I've found stores usually don't have a huge selection of petites)

I've also been really happy with my Crest scrub pants in ceil blue for work.

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

XS is usually okay in the waist but WAY too short.. but then I found Urbane Scrubs... XS is a little big in the waist, but hey I'll just wear them as hip huggers.. but they are plenty long. They're amazing. Urbanescrubs.com

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

My favorite scrub pants are Studio by Cherokee (I think that's their name...). They have a zipper and a tie waist and I LOVE the boot cut legs. I'm short (5'0") and the petite pants fall at the exact right spot for me. Normally I have to chop off several inches and hem pants but these are just perfect. I'm somewhat in between too, but I'm more in between the large and extra large. The girls at our local shops are all in the XS size too...isn't that annoying? The first time I went scrub shopping, there was a girl complaining about how the XS were too small. UGH!

I found the Cherokee scrubs online at allheart.com for the best price, but they are slow to ship.

here's a tip

just a little cheter trick I want to share:
if anyone is a non sewing person but needs to hem pants on a budget, you can get iron on hem tape - just cut the pant off at right length plus about an inch, then fold under and press with the hem tape inside and voila! it looks neater than cuffing and costs very little.

Re: I Hate Scrub Pants!!!

Thanks for all your tips, guys! When I get my loan checks, I will definetly be trying some of those brands out, even if I have to mail-order them. I broke down and bought the only pair of large petites wal-mart had, they are semi-comfortable at least, even if I do look like a backup dancer for MC Hammer!! I think I'm really just frustrated cuz at the begining of the summer I had lost almost 30 pounds, and I quit exercising, so I'm gaining some of it back. Sigh, I guess its back to the Gazelle for me!!!

I went to the allheart.com site to see the pants you described...I found the Studio Cherokee pants, there were two very similar ones (one with zipper one without) but they were low-rise. Are yours? Do you find that comfortable? I'm also short (5'2"), medium sized, and I've got a long torso, short legs (ain't I a sight, LOL) and low-rise always makes me want to yank them UP. Still, I'm always interested in pants I might not have to chop off and hem the hell out of!!
