I need help!!!!I am taking the prenursing entrance exam tommorow and I need to do well on it in order to get in the program this sept. Does anyone know who has taken it whether there are any med dose questions? I know they have math and science but do you know what areas to really focus on? Your responses will be greatly appreciated!!

It depends on the exact test (Teas, Net, CNet etc) My test (CNet) DID have dosage calculations, but it also gave the formula to do the question with. Only thing was, no Calculators!!! You might want to check out the "PreNursing Student" forum and ask again!

I took the NET and there was nothing about dosages. There was basic math, fractions, simple algebra, ratios... The reading section was medical based.. And the rest of it was disagree/agree or true/false type stuff. I think it was grading the consistency of your answers moreso than how you answered them. But I'm not really sure about that...just something I concocted myself...and we all know how dangerous that can be!! LOL!! But I got in...

I took the TEAS for the nursing program here. There are no dosage calculations on the test. The math consists of fractions, decimals, ratios, algebra, etc. The study guide was pretty good at letting you know what was on the test. The only exception would be that the study guide included some A&P, and there were only one or two A&P questions on the test. Anyway, good luck!

Like Crux said, it depends on what test you are taking, as there are many different kinds. I took the NET, which is just like Sissyboo described. Here is a great website for the NET, if it is the one you are taking. Even if it is one of theothers, this is a great practice site.
