Ever had a nursing test with all 'Multiple Response' questions

Hey everyone, this summer will be my third semester and my geriatrics instructor told us that all the questions on our tests will be the multiple response (choose all that apply) type questions. I truly hate these types of questions because its really easy to miss them, we have about 50 questions on our tests. Anyone have any strategies or advice that will help? Have you taken a test like this before?

Yes I have a suggestion, pray, I also hate those questions, just do the best you can, study etiologies, signs and symptons and interventions, and do the best you can.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

i think an all select all that apply test would make my head explode. the most we have had on a test was 6/50 and i think in the history of all my exams i have gotten about 30% of them correct. good luck with that!!!!

Re: Ever had a nursing test with all 'Multiple Response' questions

So every question of your exam is going to be that way? Did I understand that right? That's crazy, Im sorry! My advice would be to keep up with all your reading and take lots of practice NCLEX-type questions. We have these types of questions on our exams and I hate them, but the instructors say it's to prepare us for the NCLEX...blah blah blah, lol. Seriously, though Im sure you can do it, good luck!

Honestly if you read about the NCLEX exam some are getting up to 15 SATA's (select all that apply). I think its wise that your instructor is giving you a whole test of them. It really stinks for you but it will give you some good practice. I hope you pass. Study study study!

Re: Ever had a nursing test with all 'Multiple Response' questions

Yeah, im completely scared right now. We have to have an 80% to pass with a C. I asked another instructor about that and she told us that teacher likes to joke alot and that it will probably be just some of the questions. But the geriatrics teacher looked pretty serious to me. I could not find any previous students to ask them about it. We have only had a few multiple response questions on past test and so far i have a 3.5 GPA (the highest in my class) but im still scared and praying that she is joking. Have any of you ever heard of a test like this?
