I asked him to special order them and he was all gruff and said they aren't in stock so I repeated myself and he put me on hold and told me again they don't have them.

I'm going to call again and see if I get a more friendly person.

Re: Dansko shoes

Are those shoes truly comfortable? I think they look rigid, hard as a rock, heavy, and unflexible - which is why I never even considered them. But it sounds like they're pretty popular...

I'm glad that they work for some of you all. I have a pair and they are no doubt the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had.

Re: Dansko shoes

Dansko outlet (this can be accessed through the main Dansko page) has bargains but I don't very often see the white shoes. I wear the Professionals -- I've got them in many colors. This is the only shoe that works with my plantar fasciitis.

Re: Dansko shoes

I tried one more time today...they are completely sold out of them. They said it looks like they are discontinued. So I'm wondering if Dansko isn't going to be selling them anymore. I'm going to call and find out because I don't like too far from Dansko and I heard that you can go there to an outlet store that has more then the online stuff so I want to see if that is true before I make the drive.

Oh well.

Re: Dansko shoes

I have 2 pair of Danskos. One white (for nursing school) and a new black pair that I can wear to work now that the white is not a requirement. With my first pair, I opted for the smaller of 2 sizes. While I would not say it was a complete mistake, they are definately less comfortable than my 1 size larger black ones. The front portion of the smaller pair was so tight at first that it gave me a bruise across the top of my foot. Now that they are broken in they are much more comfortable. The larger pair were much more comfortable right out of the box. With those, my heal does not touch the rear of the shoe.

Without a doubt, these are the most comfortable shoes that I have worn for work or play. I wish that my fun shoes were this comfortable. I am so thankful to my best friend for inparting her wisdom to me when I started school. Her experience has saved me many a back ache, I am sure.

Re: Dansko shoes

If you can't find the Danskos you want at your usual online store, here's a website - admittedly advertising-based, but still very useful - that gives links to a bunch of places that sell Danskos, often with excellent discounts: http://www.CheapDanskoClogs.com

Re: Dansko shoes

After all these wonderful reviews, i am planning to purchase a pair. But can anyone tell me what the difference between the narrow and regular fit for the dansko professional white shoe is?(http://www.comfortshoesny.com/profes...hite-box1.html) and has anyone ever ordered them from comfortshoesny.com? I just dont want to exchange them and go through the entire hassle.

Thanks in advance,
Mimi

I am afraid they will strecth out and be unwearable. But I took her professional advice, and now am wondering if I should exchange them for smaller ones. So for those of you that have Danskos, how do yours fit, and did they stretch? I can't afford to end up with a pair of shoes this expensive that end up being uncomfortable or not fitting.
Thanks!
Amy
I love, love, love, LOVE my Danskos. All of my shoes, including sandals are Danskos now, even though they are pricey. I have lots of problems with one of my feet, and these are THE best shoes ever.
