I am looking for students who have been or are in the nursing program at Brookhaven. I am hoping to get in for fall of 08.

What is it like?
What color scubs do you have to have?
Do you need a specific brand of scubs, medical equipment etc?
Where do you have clinicals?
Who is your favorite professor?
How many days do you attend class outside clinicals?
How many days/hours do you have clinicals?
What is success camp like?
Is there a deposit prior to the start of the year?
Do you have to pay/buy anything prior to financial aid paying during the normal financial aid cycle?

Any other information or advice would also be great.

NO...still waiting. They have from today until next Wednesday. It's going to be a really long 7 days.

What is it like? HARD@ But fun and exciting
What color scubs do you have to have? white...yuck!
Do you need a specific brand of scubs, medical equipment etc? just white scrubs...you'll get them embroidered w/your name and the school logo. You'll need a stethoscope-no particular brand.
Where do you have clinicals? this semester at Baylor Garland, Med City Dallas and Med Center of Plano
Who is your favorite professor? Hmm...I Schmitt, Gilliam and Adair.
How many days do you attend class outside clinicals? 2 days of lecture (2.5 hrs/day) and 1 3 hr skills lab. (I'm 1st semester)
How many days/hours do you have clinicals? 1/week for 12 hrs...on day prior you go to hospital and pick out your pt and complete their care plan/patho statements
What is success camp like? it's basically them telling you how hard the program is going to be. They just want to make sure you know what you're getting into in regards to time committment.
Is there a deposit prior to the start of the year? nope, just pay your tuition and buy your books like any other semester. BUT there are other fees...drug test, meds pub fee, etc (check out the website for costs)
Do you have to pay/buy anything prior to financial aid paying during the normal financial aid cycle? I dunno...I don't qualify for FA...it's all outta pocket for me

I am in !!!! I checked my email a few minutes ago, and there it was. I am kinda in shock right now, and waiting for it to sink in. I keep just going back to look at it to make sure it's real lol.
