Re: BCC's RN Program

To NURSEMIDWIFE,
please if your planning on going to Baltimore city community college, please don't waste you time going, not unless a nurse from overseas and have had the exprience. Believe I've been through thier RN program, and they don't have a very good passing rate; as far as moving from one nursing course to another. Its that hard, make sure you have a back-up plann. I know alot of my classmates who didn't make it. But who knows, you might be different. Good luck

Re: BCC's RN Program

Is BCC = Broward community college? If so dont waste your time. They have had thier accreditation taken away twice now. Miami dade college is INFINITELY better. Once I found out about BCCs rep I didnt even apply. If its all you managed to get into go with it, but if you have other options I highly recommend you explore them. Even doing LPN and then RN transition will yield better use of your time then BCC. Thats what I am doing and sheridan tech is an amazing school You learn SO much about medications and disorders its amazing.

Miami Dade College is the worst college ever!
I was rejected from entering the RN program 5 times, even though I had a 3.3 all my classess completed.

Broward comunity college, Nova southeastern university, and manatee community college <-- all accepted me. and why not my LOCAL college?? I will never know why.

because now, Iam RN and will never step foot in a miami dade campus again.

Re: BCC's RN Program

BTW

Broward Community College never lost their accreditation. They have a 98% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Miami dade was about to lose their accreditation, there was a big article on them in the miami herald. since then, they started the ATI exam every semester.... and they now have a 81% pass rate on the boards.
