thats great! I'm in Southern VA. Maybe we can be each others support team. I'm very excited/nervous. I work FT and have a hubby and 4 year old son so I'm really nervous about how this is going to work out.
Yes, I am also starting NS in Fall of 08, I am so excited. I just found this website and am thankful for all of the insightful threads. I have a family full of medical professionals and sometimes feel like I have no idea what anyone is talking about at family dinners but I will soon and am so grateful that I got in.
Being each others support team sounds like a very good idea! I, too, have a husband, although no children yet. And I own my own business, so I'm really nervous about starting, too, but I have a feeling things are going to work out, even though it may not be easy =)
I just have a few questions for all of you:
When in the Fall do you start?
Have you been to orientation yet?
I start Aug 25th and we have not had our orientation yet. I talked to nursing advisor and he said that we will have a choice to make at the orientation, either 7a to 3p OR 3p to 11p for clinicals. I will get my choice because I am near the top of the list but would like some more input on both choices. I am married with a daughter and will be working part time so I am leaning towards 1st shift but would love to hear other opinions.
I am starting NS this Fall too!
I am here in the Northern Cali area.
I am going to take "Strategies for Clinical Success" over the summer to gear up for 1st semester.
I have a husband but no children just yet and I am still going to try and work about 16 hours a week...Bills still need to get paid!
