"Accredited by the NLN"???

Ok, I'm shopping schools, and I found a BSN program whose representative proudly told me they were accredited by the NLN.

Did I miss something here? I didn't think NLN did accreditations.

I told the guy "That's great. How about your CCNE accreditation?" He says that's "pending."

Would anyone out there venture to explain the accreditation process to me? Who does it? How long does it take?

BTW, pass rates on this new school for the first class were 69% (I was told 75% but state BON website was different).

Thanks.

I don't know about the accreditation process, but the passing score for NCLEX doesn't sound very promising to me,especially when they obviously don't tell you the truth.

Bingo. I'd been told by some impartial folks that this program was just too new and not to bother. I'm just trying to do my due diligence and check them out.

All NLN means is that the school has the money to pay for it, that's all.
