I have 5 weeks until graduation, I have a couple of options and I am not sure which way to go. Option #1: Spend the next 5 weeks studying for my state boards (nclex) and not work. Or option #2: Work and study for the nclex too. Some feed back from others was, if I don't have to work then don't.......just study, others have told me to work and study to keep learning.....AAAHHHHHH!!! don't know what to do!!!
I would defintely work once a week or so to take your mind of from things and show your manager that you still work there and are commited to the unit. But defintely make studying your prioprity. NCLEX is one the most important test that you will ever take in your life and you do not want to take it twice. I spent about 1 full week studying everyday, 8-10 hrs a day and pass it with 75question, first time. I wished that I had spread my studying over several weeks, instead of stressing out about if I had cover this and that, ect. Besides, when you pass NCLEX then you would've to work! =)
When I have time off from school I work more but still study also. It just seems to me that if I'm not making money that means I'm losing money and thats not cool.
I'd work one or two days, and study the rest of the time. (and actually plan to do exactly that with my own free time that I will have in a couple of weeks),
