I have read "According to NJ State Law, registered nurses may not administer any medication (including OTC's) without an order signed by a physician, NP, dentist, PA, etc." on every school district's website in NJ.
In nursing school, we were told that it is in violation of the Nurse Practice Act and "practicing medicine without a license".
I CAN'T FIND A LAW ANYWHERE!!! The NJ Nurse Practice Act is so vague compared to other states and doesn't address this issue at all.
Well, I have a parent who is insisting to see the LAW! Does anyone have a clue where I can find it? Does it really exist?
HELLLLPPPP!
