Medicaid Reimbursement

Any school nurses out there participate in Medicaid reimbursement for services you perform for your students ?? If so, how do you like it ??

Re: Medicaid Reimbursement

3-4 times per year nurses, councelors, SPED personnel etc have to "bubble" This refers to a form we have to fill out (fill in bubbles) for a week, logging activities every 15 minutes for medicaide reimbursement. A few years ago we started doing it on-line which is much easier but still a waste of time. In my community hardly anything is reimbursable.

Re: Medicaid Reimbursement

What you can bill Medicaid for varies widely from state to state. Plus only 17% of the total is paid by Medicaid.

Minnesota requires schools to bill parents private insurance for health services

A document on Medicaid wihholding of adminsitrative and transportation funds:

WOW-maybe that would cut down on unneccesary visits by frequent flyers
