How much experience needed

There is a local school district looking for sub. school nurses. I am very interested but I am fearful I may need more experience. I have only been a nurse for 6 months on a step down ICU. Do you guys feel I should wait until I have been a nurse for 1 entire year before I attempt to sub. I am really interested in this field of nursing and just need advice.

One year of hospital nursing, especially med surge would be good as you will see various problems in children throughout the day. A good year of experience is what I would recommend. Good luck with your dreams. You will be great !
