Hey anybody, i know this is not a very ethical question, but does anyone here knows how much does a dialysis nurse make in Cali? I'm thinking of relocating. Thanks

Re: Renal Nurses Income

I don't have the info you want, but I do want to say that I don't think it is unethical at all to inquire about compensation. The work we do is valuable, and we deserve to be able to support ourselves and our families. Being appropriately compensated does not diminish the nontangible rewards of our jobs, nor does it make the care we provide any less compassionate in nature.

Re: Renal Nurses Income

Of course it's going to depend on experience, chroni/acute, etc., but I'm going to shoot for a ball park for you.
I'm in northern Calif. and I believe the nurses are starting out in the chronics at approx. $25-28/hr. I work acutes and am currently making $40.00/hr. with years of experience.
I have found that So. Calif and No. Calif. can be very different in pay rates. Although it seems that the starting wages are pretty comparable.
Good Luck!

Salaries vary widely in each state, and then in different cities. It is impossible to even give you an idea without knowing where you are considering moving to. Much easier to give you an accurate answer that way.
