Liver lesion question

Hi, am a Hospice nurse, but came over here to ask a question...
Was diagnosed this past June with 3 liver lesions. Two were hemangiomas, which I understand are not unusual. The third, however is approx. 2cm large on the tip of the left hepatic lobe. The MD's are unable to identify it, don't believe it's focal nodular hyperplasia, and note it does not have the usual characteristics of a hemangioma; are recommending CT scans every six months. I'm not at all happy with it being there in the first place, and wondering why they either don't biopsy it or just remove it. My doctor is giving me vague answers. Any ideas on if/where I should take this further? Thanks for your help..
