Team or Primary Nursing

Do I change my model of nurisng care from team nurisng to Primary Nursing? I run a 35 bed neuro/amp unit and would like to raise the profile of nursing in the continum of care.

To all the other Rehab Nurses out there - does Primary Nurseing work on a rehab unit?

Re: Team or Primary Nursing

There is primary nursing on the rehab unit I work on, the first and second shift nurse share the same patients. The 11-7 shift helps out with getting dischares started in the computer, things like follow up appointments, printing out medication education forms, and just filling out some paper work.
