Lung Problems or just Back/Muscle Pain?

Hi all!

I am new to the board and really need your advice or help. I have been having some back problems which actually feels more like lung pain on my upper right side. It feels like the upper lobe of my lung is truly what's hurting. It's lasts a day or two then it goes away and then comes back again. I do get short of breath quite often even while still, but my shortness of breath has been happening since I was a kid. I was diagnosed with a heart murmur many years ago. I have never really had any major respiratory problems. I AM NOT A SMOKER AND NEVER HAVE BEEN. Has anyone had a patient or have had these type of symptoms before and what was the diagnosis. I plan on going to the doctor eventually, but I am obviously very scared of what they would say.

I would actually like to be able to start Nursing school before I am diagnosed with some dreadful lung disease.

Signed...
Scared as heck......please help!

Only one way to find out, Mortiz. Go to the doc. Get that chest x-ray or cat scan or whatever the doc wants to order and let him diagnose the problem.

This is an internet site. Not only would it be impossible to diagnose you accurately here, it's a violation of the terms of service to try.

Hello, mortiz,

As Angie just stated, we at Allnurses.com cannot advise you about your medical condition.

Please see your personal healthcare provider.

Good luck.

I realize that it's an Internet site and I don't want your diagnosis. I guess I basically just wanted your thoughts and opinions on experiences that you have had with patients with maybe the same or similar symptoms. That's all. They have other sites that do this. I thought I would try on this one as well.
