Community Health Center/FQHC nursing staff levels

Just curious if there are any nurses that are working in community health centers and how you are staffed. Are you using medical assistants, LPN/LVN, and/or RNs for you back office? What is your support staff to medical provider (MD, FNP, Midwife, etc) ratio?

Re: Community Health Center/FQHC nursing staff levels

We use MA's and LVNs. The LVNs are supervisory/triage and the MAs do the majority of the "hands on" tasks.

I to am looking for a staffing ratio to guide us which is why I signed up for this list serve. So far I haven't found much. I plan to call our local competitor to see what they are doing as far as staffing.

Good Luck!
