For me, it's a combination of things. First the hours...I work 9AM to 1Pm, Monday to Friday. Second...it's so totally stress-free. Third...my boss is a gem to work for. (well, most of the time anyway.

) Forth...I get to do a lot of interesting things like take part in clincial studies. And finally fifth....the children. I love them all to pieces.
A funny story? There are several, but the one that still makes me chuckle happened in my previous job. (a pediatric clinic) A Mom was telling me that her child had a fever which she took using the Thermoscan thermometer. (the ear one) For some reason (can't remember why) I asked the mom how she was taking the temperature. I think it had something to do with the temps sounding a wee bit off and because it takes a certain amount of practice to get it right. She said she was doing it rectally. I assumed she meant the thermometer was set to rectal as opposed to oral or actual ear temp. Nope...she was taking the temp RECTALLY. ie, spreading her toddler's cheeks and stuffing the Thermoscan up.

It was all I could do to keep my face straight when I explained to her that the termometer was meant to be used on the ear.
