Yes I have been, especially over the summer
I hav 12 and 7 year old daughter. My husband and I work over an hour away. It depends on your state on what is acceptable age to leave alone. It depends on the maturity of the kids. Will the younger ones listen to the older one? You must have set guidelines, that you know they will follow. A contact person if they get hurt. and Most importantly put the
Fear of God and Mom in them if they get in trouble.
I don't do it often, but when I do, my girls know there is a tight rope and it must be followed
