How do you find office nursing jobs?

I just graduated with a BSN degree. I'm thinking about working in an office setting after a little MedSurg experience. But I was wondering, how do you find office nursing jobs? It's not like they have major websites with online applications like the hospitals.

Do you just hand out your resume all around town?

Thanks,
AlisonBSN

Re: How do you find office nursing jobs?

I think you are wise to get some experience first. Sometimes you will see advertisements in the newspaper for office nurse positions. More than likely you will find out about openings by word of mouth. But it is very worthwhile to call various offices and get the name of the office manager or person in charge of hiring. Then send your resume and cover letter to that person at the office. It's better to have a specific name to send it to.

Good luck!!
