Help! Certifications Question

.What specialized training does the outpatient nurse need? What certifications are available for this specialty area of nursing? How are these certifications achieved?

This is the question I am trying to answer for a journal. Any answers would be appreciated.

I was in outpatient at a hospital for a day observing mostly pre op and post op. Thanks

specialized training certifications

It depends on the speciality. There is an ambulatory nursing certificate. I am certified in ophthalmology (CRNO) Many of the nurses I know that work in amb surgery are certified OR nurses. It is encouraged to be certified in triage in my institution (because we do so much of it). Google "nursing certification".
