Coding for Lab Results and Medication Adjustments

Can anyone tell me how they code for a Telephone consult? On our patients taking Coumadine and/or Lovenox, when their labs are back and the Doctor calls them, makes and adjustemnt in meds, how are you coding for that?

Thanks.

Re: Coding for Lab Results and Medication Adjustments

My experience is I let the doc know what the level is and they tell me what dosage or changes that need to be made & "I" call the patient back at no charge.

Thankfully, we have a billing/coding person that takes care of all that.
