What department? You may not realize that you just started a new thread ... and didn't include enough information in your question for anyone to answer it very well. Could you please elaborate? I realize you posted this in the pediatrics discussion group -- but you need to be a bit more specific. Do you mean as a new grad RN? ... or some other position?

New RN salaries tend to be the same regardless of specialty -- and it varies a lot between different geographic areas of the country.
