Rett's Disorder

I have a friend whose toddler daughter is being evaluated for a developmental disorder. Rett's disorder is part of the differential diagnosis. I've looked on the internet and found the diagnostic criteria, but little else. Does anyone have any experience with this, or could anyone describe the early clinical picture? Thanks.

I have care for a half dozen (or so) girls with Rett Syndrome. All were diagnosed around age 3, all were initially thought to have a very mild case of CP.

I'll did thru my saved stuff and post my links later today/tonight (is a fairly large project).
