Present for nurse

What type of thing would you like to recieve from a surgury patient for being a good nurse? Or is it inappropriate to give as nurse a present?

It is against the policy of many facilities for an employee to accept gifts of any value. Usually the gifts sent are food, flowers, or cards and letters.

Ditto the above. However, if the gift is for the entire staff, that's usually ok. A letter or note to the nurse manager would likely be appreciated by both the manager and the nurse.
