You can do whatever you like. I've only worked with Peds patients and that's probably all I'll ever do. I have no interest in working with the "big kids."

Thank you for all of your replies. I am still trying to find my path to nursing and I really do feel like I want to specialize in peds. I am going to go for it! I may do peds or neonatal work.
