Look at your list of nursing theorists. Whose paradigm do you think is bunk? Throw them out. Whose do you think makes sense to you? Does it explain nursing health client, and caring the way that feels the most comfortable to you? Ok - pick the one that is most in line with how you believe nursing and caring operates.

Now take that theory and set your paper on PACU within that framework. It usually is a brief paragraph near the beginning of the paper about how the theory explains the patients' situation you are describing and your nursing response to it. It is nice to mention the theory again in the closing paragraph.

Do it badly if you cannot do it well - you still will get most of the points allotted to it.

Address how the theory explains person, environment, health and nursing in relation to your topic.

A good link for some of the theiorists: http://www.sandiego.edu/nursing/theory/
