Question looking for advice

Hi. I am only 18, but am interested in nursing and would like to work with kids someday. I'm considering going to school for an associate's degree in nursing, but would like to learn more about the details of the work. Like what kind of things nurses do, both good and not-so-good things about being a nurse, or just any information about nursing in general. I live in Iowa, but I am open to responses from anyone in any state. I appreciate any information. Thanks

Hi and welcome. I live near Peoria, IL but am from the Quad Cities originally. I'm an ER nurse and absolutely love it! Please come join us. I would advise getting a bachelor's degree (BSN) though instead of an associates degree (ADN or ASN). This will give you more options in the future. If I can answer anymore questions, please feel free to email me at: jadansizen@msn.com
